A pet ID tag could very well save your pet’s life. Stray is the term used for an unidentified pet. It may have an owner, but animal services people have no way of proving that, much less finding the owner. So the pet gets carted off to the pound for a short stay before it is finally put to sleep.
Nobody wants that to be their pet’s fate. So do yourself and your pet a favor and get an ID tag for them. If they should ever become lost this tag will let animal services know who the pet belongs to. Then they can contact you and tell you where to pick up your pet, rather than forcing you to search through every pound in your area day after day.
These ID tags are not expensive to have made, they oftentimes cost less than $10. That price includes engraving the information you want on the tag. If you lose your pet that may become the best $10 you ever spend. If the tag results in the safe return of your pet, you have just paid off your investment tenfold. These are things you should be thinking about now so that you aren’t regretting them later.
