Pet stairs can be a saving grace for older pets. Many dogs and cats have a favorite chair or a spot on the couch where they love to sit. As these pets age however, making the leap up to their perch can become a difficult ordeal. If you notice that your pet is having difficulty with jumping up there are a few options available.
You could purchase a pet bed that is lower to the ground than a couch or chair, or you could get pet stairs. This will save your pet the leap, but has some drawbacks. One, if you have a small living room the bed may unnecessarily clutter your floor space. And two, if your pet is old, it may not readily embrace a new favorite spot, and who can blame them?
It is with these issues in mind that pet stairs were made. They are a set of miniature stairs that you can put next to the couch or chair. Your pet can easily reach their spot by using the stairs, and that will save wear and tear on their old joints. If you were elderly you would be grateful for the little things that make your life easier, so why not show that same consideration to your faithful pet who’s shared your life for so many years?
